My first walking day

3/23/11 I left home at 10:54 a.m. and walked the alley to the middle of town, then down Clifton to lower street. I took lower street to the park. Once in the park, I walked down to the tree line, hoping to check on my plum tree, but I discovered that the tree-clearers took it out. I then walked the length of the park to the entrance, then back to the tree line, around the cul-de-sac, and back over the bridge.

I walked up to Main Street, stopped at the post office, picked up the mail and went home. I was gone 25 minutes.

My expectactations were that I would be more sore than I am, but we'll see by the end of the day. Mostly my back hurts, but that's the usual. My calves are  a litle tired from the shoes - they are the type that rock you forward. I might alternate wearing them for a while until I am more used to them.

I have no idea how far I walked, Glenmont is pretty small. I once measured the distance to walk a mile - you have to walk the perimeter twice then go around the block one more time to make a complete mile.
